About the Club

The Autism Football Association is operated and governed by Team United, a charity registered in Scotland SC047640 and is the Autism game leading representative for Scottish Para Football.

We promote an environment where young people with Autism can play football and be part of a team, whilst adapting to the intense social and communicative demands they are likely to experience.

Working across Scotland in conjunction with a number of regional affiliate clubs and groups, we have implemented a carefully designed player pathway which has been established to introduce young people to the game, break down barriers and to improve social interaction, culminating in participation within the Autism League and Cup competitions.

Nowhere else in the world is there an Autism League and Cup that is run in conjunction with a national affiliated partner and Governing body - The Scottish FA and Scottish Para-Football.

The power of football helps to engage young people, break down their social barriers and to re-engage them with their peer group. We seek to work with clubs and groups to increase their knowledge and capacity to form and run their own teams and to increase neurodiverse participation within the game.
